This project included the design-build development of a 500 acre site for a future high school, college campus, sports stadium, and recreational fields. Our aggregate total contract value was $38,000,000 over a two year period. Work included mass clearing, earthwork, storm drainage, water, sewer, asphalt, curb and gutter, traffic signals, signage, and pavement markings. A portion of this project included the reconstruction of a major at-grade intersection on Route 60 and Centerville Road. Accordingly, a portion of this project was constructed under live traffic.
Curtis Contracting, Inc. was the prime contractor to James City County. CCI self performed all grading work, traffic control and managed multiple subcontractors to complete this work on schedule.
