Former President, Mrs. Virginia F. “Betty” Curtis, opened the doors of Curtis Contracting, Inc. as a Class “A” Contractor in 1985.

She instilled the values of honesty, quality, and customer service as the hallmark of the company. Through her leadership, and with her husband Andrew Curtis, Sr. by her side, she led CCI to its present position in the industry.
Currently, CCI has over 200 employees, including project managers, project engineers, superintendents, carpenters, equipment operators, truck drivers, and laborers. In the past 29 years, CCI has completed over $250M in federal, state, county, and local construction projects. The company’s first asphalt plant opened in April of 2014 in Ivor, Virginia and serves the Richmond and Hampton Roads markets.
